The Company

Established in 1965 and actually located in Vila Nova de Gaia, CAMO – Indústria de Autocarros, S.A., is a company dedicated to manufacturing and repair of buses bodyworks. To reach with success this purpose, CAMO, S.A. has been guided by the maximum client satisfaction spirit, betting on human capital resource, with high knowledge and a production process based on total quality concept. CAMO, S.A. is certified by LLOYD’S REGISTER EMEA, according to NP ISO 9001:2000, which can guarantee that, not only our projects, prototypes and products, fulfilled the standard and regulations established, but all the manufactured units adjust themselves to the existing quality list.

Products

CAMO, S.A., has a wide range of bodywork bus models and all the vehicles are according to the present legislation of the destination country, always using the basis of the regulations and directives of Europe Union. We manufactured since 16 places Mini Buses, to 12 Meters Urban Buses till 90 places and 12 meters Intercity with 55 places. CAMO, S.A. has built passengers buses bodyworks for public transportation companies in local market, such as STCP – Sociedade de Transportes Colectivos do Porto, Resende – Actividades Turísticas, Transportes Urbanos dos Carvalhos, Serviços Municipalizados de Coimbra, CCFL – Companhia Carris de Ferro de Lisboa, such as large transportation private groups, like Barraqueiro group and Arriva Portugal. The bodyworks are built on several chassis models, such as Iveco, MAN, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, among others. The company when manufacturing bodyworks, works with suppliers well known in the market, such as Bode Masats, Asientos Esteban, Refigal, Carrier Sutrack, Hispacold, GHE – Ellamp Ibérica.

Sales
The range of products that CAMO, S.A. does, 55% is referred to external market and 45% to local market. The company is present in several countries in Europe, Africa, America e Asia, namely in Spain, Dubai, England, Turkey, Holland, Venezuela, Iran, with more than 400 units sold.
